Discover a different design experience in every Borough.

This year, NYCxDESIGN introduces a special initiative to celebrate and showcase design throughout New York City: Borough Days.

During dedicated days of The Festival, NYCxDESIGN will travel to the city’s five boroughs to celebrate emerging and established designers and design hubs. Each borough offers new and unique experiences that combine to make New York City a true global design capital. You can explore open studios, cultural institutions, design manufacturers, and architectural showpieces, to name a few.

Bringing New York together to Watch, Learn and Share.

And, for each Borough Day, NYCxDESIGN will host a talk and film screening. The Films will be produced in conjunction with the Architecture and Design Film Festival (ADFF), presented by Eventscape. The Talks will explore the convergence of disparate design disciplines with leading members of the city’s design community. Panelists, film titles, and venues will be released over the coming weeks. Check back in mid-March to reserve your spot at The Films and The Talks.

Borough Days will also present the launch of the NYCxDESIGN mobile
recording pod. The recordings will represent the city’s collective design voice that will be shared by NYCxDESIGN during The Festival and beyond. You’ll find the NYCxDESIGN recording pod during The Festival at these locations:
